On January 2, 2013, revised local Rules for the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of West Virginia became effective. Bankruptcy Court Local Rule 2090-1 (Attorney’s Admission to Practice) makes clear that Attorneys who are seeking pro hac vice admission before the Bankruptcy Court must first qualify for admission under the applicable Local Rules of Civil Procedure for the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia (SDWV LR Civ P 83.6). The information and the forms necessary to qualify for pro hac vice admission are located on the District Court website. The Statement of Visiting Attorney and Designation of Local Counsel for Bankruptcy Matters and pro hac vice fee ($50) are filed with the District Court Clerk’s office.
